Hit or Miss at the Canalhouse

By purchasing a ticket and attending the Hit or Miss event hosted by Hypure Productions at The Canalhouse, Nottingham, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

 


 

1. Eventbrite Ticketing and Refund Policy

1.1 Tickets must be purchased in advance via the Eventbrite platform.
1.2 Tickets may also be purchased on the door but will still be processed via Eventbrite.
1.3 Ticket pricing is fixed: £1 per viewer and £15 per team taking part (£3 per person if five individuals).
1.4 Refunds are accepted via Eventbrite up to 24 hours before the event. Eventbrite fees are non-refundable.
1.5 No refunds will be issued within 24 hours of the event.
1.6 If the event is cancelled before it begins, a full refund will be issued via Eventbrite.
1.7 If the event is cancelled after it begins, Hypure Productions reserves the right to withhold refunds based on the cause of cancellation.
1.8 Ticket transfers are allowed; however, the original purchaser remains responsible for any related issues.
1.9 Entry is only guaranteed with a valid digital or printed Eventbrite ticket.
1.10 The £1 entrance fee includes participation in the karaoke; the Hit or Miss game is included as a free activity within this fee.
1.11 A strict capacity limit of 50 people applies — 30 viewers and 20 participants. Once this cap is reached, all ticket sales will automatically cease, including on-the-door availability. Entry will be refused once this limit is met.

 


 

2. Participation in Hit or Miss

2.1 Game teams must consist of 3 to 5 individuals.
2.2 Entry into the game is on a first-come, first-served basis and may be restricted due to time or capacity.
2.3 Hypure Productions reserves the right to close or amend participation.
2.4 Winning teams must speak to staff during the karaoke section to discuss prizes.
2.5 If no such discussion is made, Hypure Productions will attempt to contact the team leader via the email provided during booking.
2.6 If no contact is made within 7 days of the event, the prize will be forfeited and returned to Hypure Productions.


 

3. Technical Issues and Cancellations

3.1 If the Hit or Miss game cannot be completed due to a technical fault, the team with the highest score at the time of interruption will be declared the winner.
3.2 Karaoke will continue regardless of issues affecting the game segment.
3.3 No refunds will be issued after the event has started unless due to venue closure or organiser error.
3.4 Hypure Productions reserves the right to cancel the event and make schedule changes if required.


 

4. Accessibility

4.1 Accessibility will be accommodated where possible.
4.2 The Canalhouse has a service lift available for use only under supervision by venue staff.
4.3 Accessibility requests must be submitted in writing to production@hypure.uk at least 24 hours before the event begins.
4.4 Hypure Productions will work with venue management to support reasonable adjustments.


 

5. Age Restrictions and Identification

5.1 This event is strictly 18+ due to alcohol sales and potentially mature content.
5.2 A Challenge 25 policy will be in force. Attendees must present valid photo ID if requested.
5.3 Entry will be refused without valid ID and no refunds will be issued for this reason.


 

6. Conduct and Behaviour

6.1 A safe, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere is expected from all attendees.
6.2 Any behaviour that is discriminatory, harassing, violent, or offensive will result in removal without refund.
6.3 The organisers and venue staff reserve the right to eject any attendee for disruptive conduct.


 

7. Karaoke Participation

7.1 Karaoke participation is open to all attendees.
7.2 The queue is accessed via a QR code provided on the night.
7.3 Karaoke is hosted using Karafun, and all participants must adhere to Karafun’s Terms and Conditions.
7.4 The karaoke operator reserves the right to manage the queue and limit entries due to:

  1. Excessive requests
  2. Inappropriate or offensive song choices
  3. Time constraints
  4. Equal opportunity principles

7.5 Queue positions may be altered at the discretion of the operator.


 

8. Venue Rules and Bar Policy

8.1 The Canalhouse is owned and operated by Castle Rock Brewery.
8.2 The bar is not affiliated with Hypure Productions, Confetti, or Nottingham Trent University.
8.3 All bar-related concerns must be directed to venue staff.
8.4 Smoking/vaping is only allowed in designated outdoor areas.
8.5 Attendees must follow venue safety guidance and policies at all times.
8.6 The Canalhouse and its surrounding streets are in a bus-only zone. Attendees must ensure travel arrangements comply with local transport rules.


 

9. Parking and Travel

9.1 There is no onsite parking at The Canalhouse.
9.2 Please use designated city car parks or public transport.
9.3 Attendees are responsible for checking local parking regulations and enforcement zones.


 

10. Event Timings

10.1 Doors will open between 18:00 and 18:15.
10.2 An early opening at 17:45 may occur but is not guaranteed.
10.3 Doors will reopen for karaoke attendees at approximately 20:30, subject to event flow.
10.4 Late arrivals may miss their chance to participate and no partial refunds will be issued.


 

11. Media and Photography

11.1 By attending, you consent to the use of photos and videos captured at the event for marketing and archival purposes.
11.2 If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, please inform staff on arrival and we will do our best to accommodate your request.


 

12. Data Protection

12.1 Any personal data collected will be used solely for event communication, administration, or prize fulfilment.
12.2 Hypure Productions complies with UK GDPR and will never share your data externally without your explicit consent.


 

13. Liability Disclaimer

13.1 Hypure Productions, Confetti, Nottingham Trent University, The Canalhouse, and Castle Rock Brewery accept no liability for:

  1. Fines, tickets, or penalties relating to transport or parking
  2. Injuries resulting from reckless, intoxicated, or unlawful behaviour
  3. Lost, stolen, or damaged personal property
  4. Delays or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, such as force majeure

13.2 Attendees are responsible for their own safety and conduct throughout the event.


 

14. Governing Law

14.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
14.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
