Frequently Asked Questions
We now have an FAQ list that we hope will help
you answer some of the more common ones.
1. What exactly is the Popup Shop?
The Popup Shop is a curated retail event hosted by Hypure Productions that brings together established local vintage brands, university societies, and independent student sellers for a one-day sustainable market.
2. Is the event open to the public?
The event is an open invitation to all Nottingham Trent University students; there are no tickets required and entry is free of charge.
3. Which brands will be there?
We have invited several staple Nottingham names to host professional rails, including Glass Onion, Cow, and White Rose. We’re still waiting on conformations on these.
4. How do I apply to sell my own clothes?
Students can apply for a stall by completing the registration form on our website. You will need to provide your student ID and a brief description of what you plan to sell.
5. Why do I have to pay a £10 deposit to sell?
To ensure the event runs professionally, we require a £10 refundable deposit to secure your table. This prevents no-shows, which would otherwise leave empty gaps in the market layout.
6. How and when do I get my deposit back?
Your £10 deposit is returned in full on the day of the event. As long as you show up and run your stall for the duration of the shop, the money will be refunded to you.
7. What happens if I pay the deposit but cannot attend?
To receive your refund, you must attend the event. Deposits are finalised one week before the event start date; no-shows or late cancellations will forfeit their deposit to cover logistical costs.
8. Will there be anything other than clothes for sale?
Yes, while clothing is the primary focus, we are also featuring stalls from the Crochet, Cosplay and Fashion societies, which may include handmade items and accessories.
9. What is the Photo Corner?
The Photo Corner is a dedicated space for you to document your new finds. This station is run by the Hypure crew in support of local charitable initiatives.
10. Where is the event and how do I get there?
The event is taking place on the 8th of May 2026 at the Newton Building Atrium at Nottingham Trent University.
